Everyone’s life is affected by the growing problem of drug and alcohol addiction. The GC3 Recovery Ranch wants to help people with a fresh start in life when they are released from prison, jail, or a substance abuse treatment program. The vision of and goal is to create an environment that assists males in becoming men of God and to lead their families in a godly way of life and give back to society instead of taking from it.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV
We will provide a safe place for people to become a new creation in addition to providing them a place to live and a clean Christ-centered environment. We will teach life skills, so they will be able to life their life clean and sober and be able to function in society.
There will be a church service service every morning that will teach life skills with biblical principles. A devotional will be held at noon each day along with a faith-based 12 step group five to six times per week. Individuals from area churches will be presenting the Word of God and teaching the Gospel. The area churches will come together as a body of Christ to preach, teach, and reach out to the individuals trying to change their life.
We will help them with job training and forming good work skills on the ranch. The ranch will offer agricultural skills by gardening, gathering moss rock, and building projects. In addition, several partner businesses are providing hand-on training with the possibility of becoming employed. We hope to help an individual obtain employment as a productive member of society.
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed and it shall be well with you. Psalm 128:2, KJV
For even when we were with you we would give you this command, if anyone is not willing to work let him not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10, ESV
Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3, ESV
Ultimately, the GC3 Recovery Ranch will help them change their thinking and learn how to live without being a threat to the community and individuals around them.
